I was excited for the chance to preview Nobu Los Cabos before their grand opening back in October 2019. I was even more thrilled to make this my first resort stay in Mexico for 2020. The service was impeccable, even with new protocols.
ROOM / SUITES: you can choose from golf, ocean, swim up or private pool views for all Deluxe Rooms. They come with a nespresso machine, terry robes, garment steamer & yoga mat. Best of all, the signature Onsen teak soaking tubs are standard with every room on property. Upgrade to a Junior Suite for 200+sq ft more space plus a walk in closet! The Zen Suite offers butler service with a separate living/dining area. On my most recent trip I was able to view the Miyabi Suite. 1400sq ft including wet bar, dining area and can connect to a 2 queen deluxe room to sleep 6.
DINING: of course there is the namesake Nobu where you can’t pass up the yellowtail sashimi, rock shrimp in creamy spicy sauce & the spectacular black cod with miso. Also don’t miss out on Tanoshi Hour (happy hour) with $10 speciality cocktails & discounts on popular dishes. Malibu Farm is described as fresh, organic farm to table cuisine. ABC breakfast tacos and the Avocado Pizza are a must. Pacific is a mexican fine dining spot in the evening but during the day has delicious snacks from Playabar to enjoy poolside. We had the mexican pizza almost everyday. I am also excited to share the resort is working on a new Italian Steakhouse concept coming soon! *Malibu Farm & Playabar are temporarily closed during reopening
SPA: Esencia Wellness is an intimate space complete with 13 treatment rooms, indoor & outdoor hydrotherapy areas with a water circuit. *limited capacity, so book in advance.
ACTIVITIES: let’s talk pools! there are four on property & luckily my two favorite (the adult only sunset & pacific pool) are currently open*. There are cabanas you can rent for the day, $350-500 min spend depending on location. Want golf? The hotel is set in the Diamante complex that boasts two world-class courses. Bringing the little ones? Tons of activities including a kids club. Want a private oceanfront dinner? The executive chef can create an italian, indian or any fusion cuisine just for you. Sky is the limit.
