We arrived on the late ferry, to the port of Athinios, and gazing up the massive cliffs to the village lights (which looked like stars) outlining the crescent shaped island. The port is below the main town of Fira,so it was about a 15min transfer over to Oia where our villa was located. We decided to rent a villa using airbnb and found one with a two story deck overlooking Amoudi Bay. It was perfect for the 4 nights as we took full advantage of having our morning coffee, afternoon Mythos & sunset wine with a view!

Oia is the place to be- incredible sunsets, iconic blue domed churches & great dining/shopping steps away. Highlighted meals enjoyed at Skiza Cafe,  Floga, & of course Katina on Amoudi Bay for the freshest seafood around -after polling the locals.

To see more of the island we opted for renting a car instead of a four wheeler to explore. *No matter the weather I still recommend a car for Santorini as the island is very windy. Hit Red Beach, Kamari Beach & maybe a few wineries. Definitely explore but relaxing with a Mythos & that view can’t be beat.
