If you saw my post on the Andaz Maui you know how much I adore this brand…this is what ‘Pura Vida’ (pure life) is all about. Impeccable service, outstanding food, well appointed rooms…you get it- I loved it!
Rooms: Large rock shower that completly opens to the balcony to create the ultimate rainforest vibe – one with nature is an understatement. Keepsake fedoras and flip flops in everyroom along with a great tote bag to be used during your stay & totally worth the $30 to take it home with you. And although not all inclusive you have complimentary mini bar snacks and drinks that are restocked daily.
Dining: If you were to ask anyone the number one dish on property its the ceviche at Ostra! I took part in a class to learn how to cure the fish in citrus and add all the delicious extras like coconut milk & chili pepper to make it one of the best dishes I have ever had- best when ordered poolside. Chao Pescao not only serves some great tapa options: Toxi-chorrillana…trust me. but also a wonderful mixology bar where my favorite thing to do is tell them my favorite ingredients and watch as they make a bespoke cocktail just for me. Breakfast is best at Rio Bhongo and if you thought mixology was only for alcohol then you have never experienced their coffee bar- and as you know Costa Ricans make some of the best.
