As one of the most popular tourist attractions in all of Thailand the Grand Palace is worth the 500baht entrance fee…but go early. I say again- GO EARLY! The complex opens at 8:30am and most of the tour buses/ hoards of umbrella toting tourists arrive around 9 so if you wish to get that Insta-worthy shot get there when it opens. Modest dress is required: I recommend wearing cool attire such as shorts for most of the day and purchase a fun sarong for the temples.
