Accessing this island is very easy with a ferry from Athens although locals, tour operators & tourists all have a preference or opinion on how best to get around the Greek Isles. *Note: A week before we arrived there was a maritime strike. My recommendation is look at all the factors: total travel time, time of year or season & of course cost. At around 55 pp for a 3 hr journey we decided on the Ferry.

Traveling before peak season there were limited properties to choose from, but the year round Harmony Boutique Hotel was exactly what we needed. A friendly helpful staff (shout out to Alexander), a nice breakfast buffet and excellent location!!! After asking around on the best way to see the island (and being told you need a special scooter license) we decided on renting an ATV for the day. For 25€ we had 24hrs to wreak havoc on the roads!

The days were spent beach hopping from Ornos, Paraga w/ lunch at Tasos Taverna, Paradise, Elia & of course Psarou home to Nammos Mykonos: the place to see and be seen by celebrities, yachties & jetsetters of course. The nights consisted of sunset cocktails at The Belvedere hotel or Little Venice, dinner at Pasta Fresca Barkia, shopping/getting lost in the alleyways and don’t forget late night gyros after a night of drinking.

There are many tours on the island and off included a trip over to Delos which is an Unesco Heritage site & uninhabited island home to a well preserved layout of a Greek city.
