Located in one of my favorite London neighborhoods, South Kensington, this Hilton Curio hotel was once a 1870’s townhouse. I was looking forward to spending a few days here but it turned into a quick one night layover due to covid. Definitely worth coming into the city instead of staying at an airport hotel.
ROOMS/SUITES: there are a few bedding options to choose from- king, queen or two twins. We booked a Queens Gate Deluxe and although a bit tight on space everything was well appointed. There are two styles of smaller suites and the Queens Gate Suite that has a private street entrance, complimentary breakfast, airport transfers and a private tour of The Royal Albert Hall.
DINING: WA-Kensington– open for breakfast, lunch & dinner, silly as it sounds we had some of the best bread and butter here. ESQ– speakeasy style bar on the lower level. You can also join a masterclass with a mixologist for a walkthrough of two gin cocktails + lite bites. Botanica– stunning atrium perfect for afternoon tea…I will be back!
